If you want to learn Silver Jewellery and stone setting techniques in Sydney then this course is for you.

In this class you will learn to bezel set cabachon stones. You can use this technique to incorporate stones into rings, brooches, pendants or earrings. This technique can also be used to set other materials such as enamel, bone or found objects. Students will need to purchase their own materials, which will be discussed at the first class. Not for beginners.

Agenda

During this course the intention is that the following topics will be covered, but not necessarily in the order given. Due to the flexible nature of Adult Education classes, parts of the curriculum may be adapted to suit the needs of the class.

• Learn to bezel set cabachon stones
• Incorporate stones into rings, brooches, pendants and earrings
• Learning to set such materials such as enamel, bone or found objects

Objectives

The intended Learning Outcomes for this course are as follows.

By the end of the course the student will have:

• Learnt how to set stones to incorporate into rings, brooches, pendants or earrings.

Other Information

Please bring any stones, pen, paper, pencils, rubber, compass, and any other equipment you have.

Design & Technology Ctr, cnr Gordon St & Victoria Rd, Rozelle. If driving, no left turn into Gordon St, so turn left into Lilyfield Rd, then first right into Gordon St.
