If you want to learn about self-image and self-esteem in Sydney, then this course of eight classes is for you.
Techniques will be practised to help you overcome self-defeating thought patterns and behaviour. You will start the course by asking some basic questions such as: “At what point am I?” and “Do I want to/need to change?”

Agenda

During this course the intention is that the following topics will be covered, but not necessarily in the order given. Due to the variable nature of Adult Education classes, parts of the curriculum may be adapted to suit the needs of the class.

*Experiencing awareness of mindset. *Rebuilding the self-image. *Discovering sources of support in achieving goals. *Learning to act in an inner directed rather than outer directed manner. *Recognising limitations and using techniques to overcome them, awareness of motivations. *Developing communication skills. *Appreciating strengths gained from life experience. *Evaluating positive changes in self-image during course.

Objectives

The intended Learning Outcomes for this course are as follows.
By the end of the course the student will have:

*Overcome early conditioning and self-defeating attitudes. *Become aware of inner resources, and relate positively with others. *Demonstrate responsibility for life direction, goal setting and awareness of oneself.

No special requirements for the first night.

Cleveland St English High School, corner Cleveland and Chalmers Sts, Surry Hills (5 min walk from Devonshire St exit of Central Station). Enter from Chalmers St.
