The Four Seasons Tennis School Tennis Director, Julio El-Akl, is an Advanced Level 2 Qualified Coach and National Director of Coaching for the Australian Tennis Professional Coaches Association Ltd with over 10 years of international coaching experience. The schools fully qualified team of professional coaches specialise in the delivery of adult tennis coaching for all levels, beginners to advanced and put great emphasis on stroke production, fitness and maximum participation for the game.

Agenda

During this course the intention is that the following topics will be covered, but not necessarily in the order given. Due to the flexible nature of Adult Education classes, parts of the curriculum may be adapted to suit the needs of the class.

• Learning improve knowledge about tennis equipment and rules.
• Learn and improve to play all tennis strokes – eg. serve, volley, backhand, forehand.
• Practise tennis drill and skills as well as playing singles and doubles.

Objectives

By the end of the course the student will have:

• Learned, improved and developed tennis skills.
• Enjoyed participating in one of Sydney’s leading adult tennis programs.

Other Information

Please note: Sessions rained out will be held on the last Sunday of each month. Students must call 9569 1660 and book in for the class first.

Please wear tennis shoes & comfortable tennis clothing. Bring tennis racquet. Wicks Park, cnr Sydenham & Victoria Rds, Marrickville. (click on venue below for directions).

Rackets are available for hire & can also be purchased at a discounted price from your coach.

All sport/recreation classes are active and therefore you must bring to the attention of the tutor, any physical or health-related impairment that may affect your safety.

PLS NOTE: All classes need a minimum number of students to go ahead. If your course does not have enough students it will be cancelled and you will be informed. ***Please be aware that you maybe be informed of a cancellation &/or change via SMS or E-mail.

For all courses involving physical activity you must arrive by the published course commencement time or the tutor may refuse to admit you into the session. The agenda for many courses involving physical activity starts with an OH&S briefing and/or a warm up and to miss either may create a hazard to you which might exclude you from participation for the session.
