Do you have your own computer and video editing software but need help getting started? This course is designed to help you master the basics of whichever software you’re using, whether it’s iMovie, Movie Maker, Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Vegas or something else.

Because the course covers many types of video editing software, class tutorials will only cover the broad principles of video editing. Students will spend the majority of class time learning to use their editing software by working on their own projects, with the tutor on hand to help. While this process can be extremely rewarding, please be aware that it requires a degree of patience on the part of students.

Agenda

By working on you own project, with guidance from the tutor, you will learn how to put together a short edited video in class. You will need to bring a laptop with an editing program of your choice already loaded, and video material to edit (such as video shot at home).
