Resin Jewellery

Learn how to cast resins to create your own beautiful jewellery. Students will learn how to imbed inclusions and dye the resin into fabulous colours. Using pre-made moulds you will create beads, bangles, rings and earrings.
If you want to learn how to create Resin Jewellery in Sydney, then this course is for you.
Agenda
During this course the intention is that the following topics will be covered, but not necessarily in the order given. Due to the variable nature of Adult Education classes, parts of the curriculum may be adapted to suit the needs of the class.
Day One:
- An overview of resins, their properties and safety when working with them
- Demonstration of mixing resins, dyeing and pouring
- Students may then select moulds and commence making their own pieces.
Day Two:
- A demonstration on how to drill, sand and polish their pieces
- Students will then complete their pieces made on Day One
Objectives
The intended Learning Outcomes for this course are as follows.
By the end of the course, students will:
- Have knowledge of resins and their properties
- Know the safety issues around using resins
- Know how to cast resin
- Have created a piece of jewellery using resin
