Pedestrian entrance is on Balmain Rd near Annesley St intersection. Limited parking is available in the school car park, which is accessible from Derbyshire Rd (west of Balmain Rd). Drivers can also park in Annesley St or Hill St (east of Balmain Rd).

Come and learn the basic chords and rhythms and some easy popular songs and riffs. You must provide your own guitar and music manuscript book.
If you want to learn guitar in Sydney, then this course is for you.
No previous knowledge of the guitar is necessary for this class. Strictly limited places.
Agenda
During this course the intention is that the following topics will be covered, but not necessarily in the order given. Due to the variable nature of Adult Education classes, parts of the curriculum may be adapted to suit the needs of the class.
- Learn basic music theory – chords, rhythm, improvising and scales
- Examine simple, basic playing technique – learning to read tablature
- Play popular songs – eg. Wild Thing, House of the Rising Sun, Come as you Are, About a Girl, Hey Joe and some easy blues riffs
Objectives
The intended Learning Outcomes for this course are as follows.
By the end of the course the student will have:
- Learned simple techniques for playing the guitar
- Performed a repertoire of simple enjoyable pieces
- Developed and improved skills of those who already play
