Drawing Essentials

This course has no current classes. Please join the waiting list.

Develop drawing skills and explore your own expressive ideas as you learn about composition, line, tone, perspective, texture and proportion with a variety of subject matter.

Drawing is a type of imagery expression which is the foundation form of visual art. Drawing is fundamentally exploratory, with significant importance on examination, problem solving and creativity. Anyone can draw or sketch but there are skills and techniques that can aid in dramatically lifting the quality of this expression. Come and learn these techniques from our experienced Tutors who are all practising artists.

This course is designed for beginners but also welcomes students who have some limited experience or who did some drawing years ago and want to get back into the swing of things. It is also the course we recommend students complete before moving on to any of the other Drawing or Painting courses in our programme. Includes two sessions of life drawing.

If you want to learn about Drawing in Sydney, then this course is for you.
