A friendly, casual, interactive course designed to instruct, support and inspire writers in any genre and at any stage from beginner to professional. The objective is to discover and develop each participant’s unique skills and style through a series of structured classes, weekly assignments and perceptive and positive feedback. By the end of the course you’ll have far more fluency, confidence and self-assurance in your writing, plus the satisfaction of having produced a great deal of good work.

Agenda
During this course the intention is that the following topics will be covered, but not necessarily in the order given. Due to the variable nature of Adult Education classes, parts of the curriculum may be adapted to suit the needs of the class.
- Recommended reading
- Creativity and concepts through structure
- Theme and plot to description
- Dialogue
- Editing and being published
- Overcoming obstacles like writer’s block
Objectives
The intended Learning Outcomes for this course are as follows.
By the end of the course students will have:
- Produced a good deal of work
- Lots of samples of their work as well as greater assurance and motivation to keep writing
