What do you need to know and do to make a success of your Sea Change or Tree Change? The tutor for this course has been living on the mid North Coast for 4 years and his experience can help you make the right choices.
If you want to learn about how you can make a successful Sea Change from Sydney, then this course is for you.
Agenda
During this course the intention is that the following topics will be covered, but not necessarily in the order given. Due to the variable nature of Adult Education classes, parts of the curriculum may be adapted to suit the needs of the class.
- Understand what the real attraction for living in the country is for you
- Separate the fantasy from reality
- Maintain your existing social networks and what it will cost
- Learn factors to consider when choosing locality and housing.
Objectives
The intended Learning Outcomes for this course are as follows.
By the end of the course, the student will:
- Be able to understand the differences between country and city life
- Have confidence in their decision to Sea/Tree Change
- Have the ability to define a plan for their strategy
Other Information
Students will benefit if they bring any information they’ve so far collected relating to their plans.
Leichhardt Campus, Sydney Secondary College (formerly Leichhardt High School) is located on the corner of Balmain Road and Moore Street West. Pedestrian entrance is on Balmain Rd near Annesley St intersection. Limited parking is available in the school car park, which is accessible from Derbyshire Rd (west of Balmain Rd). Drivers can also park in Annesley St or Hill St (east of Balmain Rd).
