If you want to learn about digital photography in Sydney, then this course of 2 classes is for you.

This course will introduce the features of Photoshop Elements. Learn how to download images from the camera and store them on your computer. Be able to manipulate your images by re-sizing, cropping, enhancing colours and removing unwanted elements from your photos.

Agenda

During this course the intention is that the following topics will be covered, but not necessarily in the order given. Due to the variable nature of Adult Education classes, parts of the curriculum may be adapted to suit the needs of the class.

Students will learn how to:

• Download photos from a camera
• Scan photographs onto the computer
• Organise and sort photographs
• Edit (correct, improve, resize, delete unwanted elements and touch up) photos
• Change the file types to formats such as RAW and JPEG
• Use special features of Photoshop Elements (such as Photo Merge)
• Add photos to e-mail, slide shows and scrap booking
• Learn how to print photos to look like professional photographs

Objectives

The intended Learning Outcomes for this course are as follows.

By the end of the course the student will have:

• Downloaded photos from a camera, scanner or computer
• Organized and sorted photographs
• Corrected, improved and resized photos
• Used different file formats such as RAW and JPEG,
• Touched up and deleted unwanted elements of photographs
• Understand and worked with layers
• Used special features of Photoshop Elements such as Photo merge
• Email, Slide Shows, Scrap booking
• Learned how to print professional photographs

Other Information

You need to have a basic understanding of how a PC works. It is preferable to have a digital camera, but not essential.

Design & Technology Ctr, cnr Gordon St & Victoria Rd, Rozelle. If driving, no left turn into Gordon St, so turn left into Lilyfield Rd, then first right into Gordon St.
