Feltmaking Continuing - Bags
Learn how to design and make a unique and stylish bag. Participants must have completed feltmaking scarves workshop or already have the feltmaking skills listed in the scarves agenda. Fee includes wool to make 2 small or 1 large bag from a choice of designs.
Agenda
During this course the intention is that the following topics will be covered, but not necessarily in the order given. Due to the variable nature of Adult Education classes, parts of the curriculum may be adapted to suit the needs of the class.
- Design a felt bag.
- Learn how to make a seamless pouch in felt.
- Where to source supplies and inspiration to continue feltmaking at home.
Outcomes
The intended Learning Outcomes for this course are as follows.
- Apply the resist feltmaking technique.
- Make 2 small or 1 large handbag from a choice of designs.
- Skills needed to continue feltmaking at home.
Other Information
Participants need to bring:
- 2 large old bath towels (will not be damaged just wet) available from op shop or home.
- 2 plastic supermarket shopping bags or bin liners
- 1 plastic bottle – 1 litre plastic water/milk/cordial bottle
