Drawing from the human form provides an inexhaustible source of inspiration for the visual artist. It is highly recommended (but not compulsory) that students complete a Drawing Essentials class before enrolling in this course.

Learn to draw using a variety of exercises, drawing techniques and materials, which will enable you to see as an artist and develop your self-expression. This program is designed for students to engage in a number of different ways to draw the human figure. Each class provides an artist life model. Students will be encouraged to experiment with different mediums in creating their own unique style. Each lesson will focus on a particular technique in order to develop a better understanding of how to interpret the figure. Students are given demonstrations in various ways to use different mediums and materials to create a broad range of drawing techniques in life drawing.

Artists referenced in this course: Matisse, Tintoretto, Miller, Schiele, Carracci & Natoire.
Students acquire measuring skills. Course Fee includes cost of weekly life models.
