Accounting for Non-Accountants

If you want to learn accounting in Sydney, then this course is for you.

Understand basic accounting concepts such as the process of preparing financial statements, cash flow statements, budgets and the interpretation of financial statements. Some basic knowledge of bookkeeping is an advantage.

Specifically designed for non-accountants to discuss this complex subject in a concise manner, the major areas covered are: basic accounting concepts, terms, records, the processes of preparing financial statements, the preparation of cash flow statements and budgets and the interpretation of financial statements. Basic Bookkeeping knowledge and general commercial knowledge are advantages.

Agenda

During this course the intention is that the following topics will be covered, but not necessarily in the order given. Due to the flexible nature of Adult Education classes, parts of the curriculum may be adapted to suit the needs of the class.

Day 2

  • Interpretation of Financial Statements
  • Case Study
  • Cash Flow Statements
  • Budgeting
  • Case Study
