This course is relevant for those people who are working in a vocational educational learning environment where they need to understand how the VET sector operates, be able to unpack training packages to meet client needs. As well as apply the principles of inclusive practice and implement OH&S procedures in a learning environment. Students will learn how to deliver and assess training for groups and individuals both in the Workplace and in a classroom setting. The course is delivered in four modules comprising:

Design and Deliver Training
The Workplace Learning Environment
Workplace Assessment
Facilitate Workplace Learning

In addition to the face-to-face training we estimate a requirement of approximately two hundred hours of independent study which incorporates preparation for in-class assessment and a work-based assessment for each module. Please see individual modules for details of course content.

Please Note: In order to successfully complete this qualification you will need to deliver and assess training for a group of learners in your workplace. If you are not currently employed as a trainer we will ask you to either volunteer your services to a community organisation OR we will do our best to provide a simulated workplace on your behalf. Please contact Ann Brady on 8752 7533 BEFORE you enrol if you do not have a workplace where you can deliver training.
