If you want to learn English conversation skills in Sydney, then this course of 8 classes is for you.

Improve your vocabulary, fluency and accuracy through a variety of learning activities such as role plays, listening exercises and use of conversation gambits. Advanced English required for this course. Interview Required.

Agenda

During this course the intention is that the following topics will be covered, but not necessarily in the order given. Due to the flexible nature of Adult Education classes, parts of the curriculum may be adapted to suit the needs of the class.

• Identifying your spoken communication problems.
• Practising conversation – vocabulary and grammar.
• Practising conversation – listening and speaking for fluency.
• Discussing topical issues.

Objectives

The intended Learning Outcomes for this course are as follows.

By the end of the course the student will have:

• Identified spoken communication problems and have learned techniques to overcome them.
• Expanded spoken vocabulary (including colloquialisms).
• Improved fluency, grammar and pronunciation.
