Agenda
During this course the intention is that the following topics will be covered, but not necessarily in the order given. Due to the flexible nature of Adult Education classes, parts of the curriculum may be adapted to suit the needs of the class.
The purpose of the tour is to combine a learning experience for those who are interested to learn all about Asian cooking ingredients and implements and to know where to buy them at Asian grocery stores in Chinatown, at the very best prices, and, more deliciously, to experience one of the most delightful Chinese wonders, that of enjoying and eating a well-prepared traditional Peking Duck dinner by one of our very best Chinese restaurants in Chinatown.
Objectives
By the end of the workshop, the student will have:
Have a very good idea of Asian food and their ingredients and with the help of handouts, come to know and identify fresh Asian herbs, condiments, pastes and Asian vegetables. Furthermore, they will become familiar with the best Chinese restaurants in the vicinity of Chinatown and the dishes they are famous for. And best and certainly not the least, of all, experience the eating of a well-prepared Peking Duck dinner.

Students to meet promptly at 4 pm outside the METRO Hotel, cnr of Campbell and Pitt Sts. If students have problems getting there, please call Swee-Eng on the day on 0401 081 208. Please bring a shopping bag or basket for carrying purchased goods. BYO wine for Peking Duck dinner (Pinot Noir recommended) or pay for drinks at restaurant.
