If you want to learn how to cook Italian food in Sydney then this course of 7 classes is for you.

Learn how to create regional and traditional Italian meals with ease and confidence. Learn to make antipasto, soups, your own pasta and sauces, Italian meat and seafood specialities, as well as desserts. A course full of fun and flavour.

Learn how to create regional and traditional Italian meals with ease and confidence. Each week is filled with handy cooking tips such as how to roast capsicums and marinate eggplant, how to make perfect Risotto, Osso Bucco, Tiramisu and Fresh Pasta. Ingredients included in course fee.

Agenda

During this course the intention is that the following topics will be covered, but not necessarily in the order given. Due to the flexible nature of Adult Education classes, parts of the curriculum may be adapted to suit the needs of the class.

  • Appreciating the traditions of Italian regional cooking.
  • Learning about preparation and cooking methods.
  • Making pasta and rice dishes.
  • Cooking meat, vegetables and fish.
  • Making sauces and soup.

Objectives

By the end of the course the student will have:

  • Appreciated the cooking traditions of Italian regions.
  • Learned to make soups and antipasto.
  • Learned to make pasta and rice dishes.
  • Learned to make desserts.

Other Information

Please bring an apron, tea towel, sharp knife, pen & paper.

Leichhardt Campus, Sydney Secondary College (formerly Leichhardt High School) is located on the corner of Balmain Road and Moore Street West. Entry via Derbyshire Street. Onsite parking very limited, some street parking available.
