Day and Evening Make Up Application

This course is designed for people who wish to expand their knowledge of make up application. Your newly acquired skills can help you become a freelance make up artist. On the other hand your new make up skills will greatly ensure you enhance your own features. As both day and evening make up application will be covered you will learn how to correctly apply foundation, eye shadow, lipstick and make sure these are suitable for the look you want to achieve.

Agenda

During this course the intention is that the following topics will be covered, but not necessarily in the order given. Due to the variable nature of Adult Education classes, parts of the curriculum may be adapted to suit the needs of the class.

Lesson One:

  • The hygiene of make up application
  • Different types of foundation

Lesson Two:

  • How to apply day foundation
  • How to apply daytime eye shadow
  • How to apply daytime blush

Lesson Three:

  • How to apply daytime mascara
  • How to apply daytime lipstick
  • How to apply daytime eyeliner

Lesson Four:

  • How to transform day make up into night make up
  • Overview including quiz
  • Students make up demonstration on each other

Objectives

The intended Learning Outcomes for this course are as follows.

By the end of the course, students will:

  • Be able to do effective overall make up (both day and night)
  • Know how to enhance one’s features
  • Be capable in distinguishing the different in applying day and evening make up

Other Information

Students need to bring:

  • Own make up and mirror
  • Head Band
  • Notepad and pen
