If you want to learn how create your own spa experience at home in Sydney, then this course is for you.

In this one day course you will learn how to create your own spa experience at home using all natural and herbal beauty products. Facial products, aromatherapy blends, and massage basics are all covered. Enjoy both giving and receiving a spa experience on the day, as well as creating your own spa product range to take home with you. But your spa experience doesn’t stop there, prolong the benefits by learning about the beauty enhancing benefits of herbal teas and some key nutritional tips.

This course is designed to get you ready to indulge and pamper. Use it to throw spa parties or simply to take better care of yourself.

Agenda

During this course the intention is that the following topics will be covered, but not necessarily in the order given. Due to the variable nature of Adult Education classes, parts of the curriculum may be adapted to suit the needs of the class.

This one day workshop covers:

• Creation of a natural facial kit including wash, exfoliator, toner, mask and massage oil
• Safety issues with using essential oils and herbal products
• Basic relaxation massage techniques including facial massage and acupressure
• Tea recipes for beauty and nutritional advice

Objectives

The intended Learning Outcomes for this course are as follows.

By the end of the course, students will have:

• Learned how to select and blend appropriate essential oils and raw materials to create your own natural facial kit
• Learned how to use essential oils safely for aroma-therapeutic and therapeutic purposes
• Learned about basic massage techniques to enhance skin quality, circulation and detoxification
• Had a fun filled relaxing day!

Other Information

Bring your own towel and approximately $50 to cover the cost of materials.

College Office is located on the cnr Balmain Road and Perry Street, Leichhardt. (Within the grounds of the Orange Grove Public School.) Parking available. Enter on Perry Street. The school hall is in the large brown brick building in the centre of the playground. (click on “location” below for directions)
