Dream Interpretation for Personal Growth

Do you dream? Whether or not you currently recall your dreams we all dream to varying degrees. If you have wondered what these nocturnal visionings mean then this course can provide you with the means to explore their language.

Psychology has long been fascinated with dreaming, with many experiments on sleep and brain wave activity. It is difficult to write them off merely as neurons firing. Dreaming has a longer history, with Ancient cultures having valued dreams and dreaming for the insights or guidance they offer. Our dreams are often a mystery and we wake none the wiser though sometimes wearier as their vividness creates a sense of virtual reality. Dreaming is a doorway into deeper understanding of ourselves personally and holistically.

In Dream Interpretation for Personal Growth we will explore the various types of dreams, what psychologists who have worked in the field have theorised and their place in ancient cultures. There will be a number of worked examples to start developing the framework for interpreting dreams in the first session with participants providing subsequent material through recording their own dreams. These will be for their personal or shared use in the session as each person feels comfortable. This is a facilitated journey as we work together to expand our interpretive skills.
