Many skilled migrants come to Australia but are unable to find a job in their area of expertise because they face barriers such as lack of knowledge about Australian job seeking processes and lack of local work experience
The Skilled Migrant Mentoring Program is a free service to help skilled migrants who have recognised professional qualifications from their country of origin to gain work experience and a job in Australia.
We are seeking volunteers willing to act as a mentor to a skilled migrant. Mentors need to have some knowledge of employment, very good communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to cultural diversity.
Skilled Migrants come from many professional backgrounds and we have a strong demand for mentors with some knowledge of the Accountancy and IT professions in Sydney.
