Bridal Waltz Package
Getting married soon? Well here is a short four week package that will have you gliding along the floor on that all important day.
Bring your partner along, even your bridal party, parents and friends and learn to dance the Bridal Waltz in this easy four week step-by-step course. We even ask you to bring along your music of choice and play it throughout the lessons along with the other couples song choices.
If you want to learn the Bridal Waltz in Sydney, then this course is for you.
Agenda
During this course the intention is that the following topics will be covered, but not necessarily in the order given. Due to the variable nature of Adult Education classes, parts of the curriculum may be adapted to suit the needs of the class.
During this four week course the intention is to teach couples a short, easy routing. We will show you how to do the basic waltz, teach you how to lead and the all important rhythm and timing so that the couples will feel in sync with one another.
Week One:
- Rhythm, posture and frame
- How to make your entrance
- Box step and inside turn
Week Two:
- Turning the box step
- Promenade into chassae
- Connection with your partner
Week Three:
- Teach two dip variations
- Spanish Arm variation
- How to finish your dance
- We commence to put the routine together and show an easy dip
Week Four:
- Whisk and Weave
- Move the Box step of the mark
- Changing directions around the floor
- End the routine
Objectives
The intended Learning Outcomes for this course are as follows.
By the end of the course, students will have:
- Learned the basic steps and rhythms
- Learned to partner dance
- Completed a short waltz routine
Other Information
Be sure to dress in comfortable clothing and comfortable shoes with smooth soles that enable you to move around the floor without sticking. We ask the ladies to wear flat shoes during classes and to practice in heels at home.
Please bring along a CD with your song choice so that you may practice right away to your music.
NB. We shall use several pieces of music including students’ song choices during the four week course.
Whilst the Bridal Waltz dance class is low impact, we still request you bring to the tutor’s attention, health-related issues or challenges that may affect your safety.
