Conducted by PGA accredited golf professionals, these courses are for beginners of any adult age and any fitness level. All clubs and balls are provided with all equipment being professionally fitted for you to achieve the best possible results.

If you want to learn Golf in Sydney, then this course is for you.

Agenda

During this course the intention is that the following topics will be covered, but not necessarily in the order given. Due to the variable nature of Adult Education classes, parts of the curriculum may be adapted to suit the needs of the class.

Learn the fundamentals of a golf swing in our friendly and fun environment. Aspects of golf to be covered during the classes will include:

  • Grip
  • Stance
  • Set-up
  • Full swing
  • Chipping
  • Putting
  • Selecting the correct equipment to use

Objectives

The intended Learning Outcomes for this course are as follows.

By the end of the course the student will be able to:

  • Grip the club correctly
  • Stand correctly
  • Set-up correctly
  • Swing a golf club with proper technique
  • Chip a golf ball
  • Putt a golf ball
  • Hit golf shots with the appropriate club
  • Understand the basic rules of the game of golf
  • Feel confident to complete a round of golf on a course
  • Understand how to continue playing golf (casual public course or join a club)

Other Information

Participants must be 18 years or over

Students need to wear comfortable clothes with comfortable closed in flat-soled shoes and even though we are under cover we advise you to wear a hat and sun cream.

All sport/recreation classes are active and therefore you must bring to the attention of the tutor any physical or health-related impairment that may affect your safety.

PLS NOTE: All classes need a minimum number of students to go ahead. If your course does not have enough students it will be cancelled and you will be informed. Courses are usually cancelled, when necessary, 2 working days prior to the scheduled start date.***Please be aware that you may be informed of a cancellation &/or change via SMS or E-mail.

For all courses involving physical activity you must arrive by the published course commencement time or the tutor may refuse to admit you into the session. The agenda for many courses involving physical activity starts with an OH&S briefing and/or a warm up and to miss either may create a hazard to you, which might exclude you from participation for the session.
