If you want to learn Golf in Sydney, then this course of 8 classes is for you.
A beginner’s course designed for women by a leading female golf professional. BYO clubs or hire for $2 per session.

Agenda

During this course the intention is that the following topics will be covered, but not necessarily in the order given. Due to the flexible nature of Adult Education classes, parts of the curriculum may be adapted to suit the needs of the class.

• Introduction to golf
• Club grip
• Stance
• Dress
• Basic swing
• Putting
• Chipping
• Hitting golf shots with different clubs
• Revision of all golf shots and swing
• Where to go from here?

Objectives

The intended Learning Outcomes for this course are as follows.
By the end of the course the student will be able to:

• Dress appropriately for playing golf
• Stand correctly
• Swing a golf club with proper technique
• Chip a golf ball
• Putt a golf ball
• Hit golf shots with the appropriate club
• Feel confident to complete a round of golf on a course
• Know how to continue playing golf (casual public course or join a club)

Other Information

Students need to wear comfortable clothes with comfortable closed in flat-soled shoes. A protective hat and sunscreen is essential for day courses.

If it is raining please telephone the club on 9746 5702 two hours before course commencement to find out if the course will be going ahead or not.

PLS NOTE: All classes need a minimum number of students to go ahead. If your course does not have enough students it will be cancelled and you will be informed.

All sport/recreation classes are active and therefore you must bring to the attention of the tutor, any physical or health-related impairment that may affect your safety.

For all courses involving physical activity you must arrive by the published course commencement time or the tutor may refuse to admit you into the session. The agenda for many courses involving physical activity starts with an OH&S briefing and/or a warn up and to miss either may create a hazard to you which might exclude you from participation for the session.
