Sydney Community College was successful this year when we applied for funds from the Commonwealth programme know as the Teaching and Learning Capital Fund for Vocational Education and Training. The fund reserved $100 million for the Adult and Community Education Sector. Sydney Community College successfully applied for funds totaling $1.337 million GST inclusive. The funds will be applied to the college site in Rozelle and are for the purpose of bringing the site up to an accessible standard. This will include significant and costly access upgrades to upper floors, hallways, classrooms and toilets. Other upgrades will include Hearing Induction Loops in classrooms, lighting and data upgrades and well as security and access control. The project manager and architect is Ray Fitz-Gibbon Architects.
