Join a Chamber Orchestra
Sydney Community College is proud to offer a Chamber Orchestra as part of its music program in term 4. This is a fantastic opportunity for students who learned the viola, violin, cello or double bass years ago and want to take it up again or started learning in the last 2–3 years and can read music. There are places for viola, violin, cello and double bass but places are limited, so apply early to avoid disappointment. There are no auditions or scary interviews.
Under the expert tuition of orchestra leader and conductor, Vincent Allan, students will spend two hours a week learning to play as part of a string orchestra and enjoy the music of Bach, Handel, Telemann and more.
The course will run for 8 weeks starting on Wednesday, 21 October. The course fee is $160. All sessions will be at the Our Lady of Dolours Church, 94A Archer Street, Chatswood. There is plenty of off-street parking in the parish school grounds.
