Class Rolls
Procedures and Documentation Requirements for College Tutors.
Sydney Community College receives funding from the Board of Adult and Community Education (BACE) for all courses which have a vocational outcome. The college is audited each year to ensure that we manage and document the delivery of our courses in accordance with our funding agreement. The following procedures are part of our compliance obligations.
At the beginning of each course you will be given a folder which contains a class roll and a checklist to help you follow the procedures. Your folder will also include the evacuation procedures, student evaluation forms, course evaluation form and pay claims forms.
The class roll contains no student contact information or tutor contact information in accordance with the college Privacy Policy and government legislation.
The roll lists 18 students per page. If you have a class with more than 18 students you will receive more than one page. The roll must be signed by all students at every session. Tutors must also sign the roll at the end of each course.
What is the checklist for?
The checklist is divided into two parts. The first part describes the things which should be done in every session and the second part lists the paperwork which should be handed to the site coordinator at the end of the course. You are required to sign and return the checklist to the site coordinator at the end of your course.
