Harassment

The College has a commitment to provide a work and learning environment free of harassment,
bullying and victimisation. This is in accordance with the NSW Anti Discrimination Act 1977.
Harassment is behaviour directed at another person that is uninvited and unwelcome and
includes offensive and/or intimidating behaviour based on a person’s sex, pregnancy, marital
status, race, colour or ethnic background, physical appearance, age, sexual preferences or
disability.

Complaints about harassment whether from staff or students that cannot be resolved
informally through your trainer or supervisor, should be put in writing with the letter addressed to the College Principal. Your correspondence will be acknowledged within two working days. Counselling and disciplining of staff will be provided if deemed appropriate in accordance with other College policies and procedures.
Counselling and exclusion from class of offending students may also be appropriate.
