Course Structure
In general, courses are usually divided into various subject areas. Depending on which course
you are undertaking, these subject areas are called units of competency (from a training
package) or modules (from an accredited course).
Within each unit of competency (or module) there is a series of learning outcomes that reflects
the skills or competencies that you need to be able to demonstrate competence in, in order to
satisfy the assessment requirements.
