My teaching style –
With over 10 years experience with recipe design and tutoring, my adventure with food began at home with my grandmother who read cookbooks like romantic novels.Over the years, my passion for food grew, with a sense of will to teach others the techniques and ingredients of food. I have found the greatest reward in teaching cooking lessons is the self-satisfaction each student feels at the end of the week and when each person’s creativity is expressed in the dishes that are prepared.
Flavours of Italy is a great course that allows others to develop and practice skills that they usually are not aware that they have – this is also bundled with a lot of fun and interaction while learning the cuisines and tradition of home truths.
Flavours of the World is a true adventure of fun, with ingredients from all areas of the world. The course truly showcases how fruitful the world of food is and how it influences all of our lives.
Both courses are full of hints and tips with each lesson starting with an overview and information session on cooking techniques and ingredients for that lesson. Following this will be group work to complete a particular recipe, with the lesson finishing with a glass of wine and a sit down meal – the three courses prepared by the students. We will attempt to complete five recipes per session and throughout the course students will rotate between pastas, mains and desserts so that they get to experience all styles.
Something unique or unusual that people might not know about me –
I am skilled in a number of professions, but I always returned to the world of food.
