My teaching style –
Having completed 40 years service with the NSW Department of Education and having taught with AMES, TAFE and the Sydney Community College (since 1988), I am naturally very keen to contribute to the learning of my students. As I teach dance as well as language, I believe that the learning should be practical (and performative) as well as theoretical. I believe learning should be pleasurable and useful for one’s life and occupation. My teaching is geared to the needs of the individual students as well as the community as a whole. I enjoy teaching very much and hope my instruction is useful and fun for the students.
Something unique or unusual that people might not know about me –
Running parallel with my career in language teaching and special education is my involvement in dance and dance education. Having danced since the age of 4 years, I have, at 60, a long experience in the art.
