Glenda Sladen

Country of birth
Australia

My qualifications

  • 2000 – Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (Sydney Community College and Drake Training)
  • 1975 – University degree in Accounting, Economics and Psychology (University of Queensland)
  • 1973 – Certificate of Secondary Teaching (Kelvin Grove Teachers College – Brisbane)

My achievements
I have won Toastmasters prizes at Club and Area level. I also won the prize for the highest pass in all second year Psychology subjects combined at the University of Queensland.

My teaching style
Organizing and clearing clutter is quite specific to each individual, so I tailor my course so that students use only what suits their personalities perfectly. I do my best to motivate students to ‘get going’. I care strongly about my students. They also comment that they learn a great deal from other students and enjoy discovering points in common. Of course, we always have fun, too – nothing boring – or why bother? I was born to categorize and I’ve always worked in training, teaching and human resources – this is ideal for me.

Something unique or unusual that people might not know about me
I run two small businesses, one of which is an organizing service, so I’m right on top of my subject.
