My teaching style
My teaching style is first and foremost to create a climate of safety wherein participants will feel encouraged and inclined to both practice the skills outlined and to share experiences of the outcomes with other students.

As such, it is a combination of practical and theoretical with the emphasis on the former via small group interactions/discussions, role plays and feedback on the applications in their outside lives.

I encourage students to submit a confidential list of personal goals for the class and then have these become the agenda for our time together.

Something unique or unusual that people might not know about me
I am named after the patron saint of France (St Denis) – or as they would say ‘sarn dernee’, which is actually a corruption of Sydney (or is that the other way around) – nevertheless, I live in the town that’s named after me.
